Andrea Mewaldt is a qualified social education worker (FH) specialising in youth and adult education and holds an MBA in Management and Marketing in Central and Eastern Europe from the European University Viadrina/Collegium Polonicum. From 1992 to 1997, she worked on behalf of the Federal Ministry for Family Affairs, Senior Citizens, Women and Youth as a consultant for the development of social and educational structures in the Baltic States, based in Kaunas, Lithuania. After the Balkan wars from 1997 to 2001, she became a consultant for reconstruction projects and civil sector development in Serbia, Bosnia and Herzegovina and Kosovo at the Arbeitsgemeinschaft für Entwicklungshilfe e.V. Since 2001, Andrea Mewaldt has been the owner and managing director of a management consultancy for business development in Eastern, Central and South-Eastern Europe. In 2018 she was elected as Chairwoman of the Board of Global Partners Bayern e. V. This organisation initiates and moderates worldwide, the international project developments of consortia in the fields of infrastructure, health, energy and the environment, face-to-face and digitally supported by a PaaS platform. Ms. Mewaldt completed the doctoral programme “Global Management and Leadership” at the University of Latvia and successfully passed the final examination in 2013. The dissertation on the internationalisation of vocational education was submitted but not defended. In 2017, she received the certificate of completion for successful participation in the Executive Online Course: “State Capability. Problem Driven Iterative Adaptation (PDIA)” from the Centre for Development at Harvard University. The holistic PDIA methodology can be applied to all systemic change management processes. As a consultant, she develops strategies on the topics of diversity, corporate culture, shared value and sustainability with board members and working groups from companies and NGOs. She is a certified training partner for the German Sustainability Code. She works as an evaluator for EU projects and projects of international organisations in accordance with OECD/DAC standards. She is and has been a lecturer at numerous universities, currently at the University of the Federal Armed Forces in Munich. In 2022, she became involved with the European Innovation Council as a mentor in the “EIC Women Leadership Programme.”
