Short Workshop: Intercultural Pitfalls

Daily collaboration with different locations has long been a part of everyday work for many specialists and managers. Since last year, they have also been working under tougher conditions – virtually from the home office, without the opportunity to meet in person. Time for a moment of pause and reflection on one’s own experiences in collaboration. The Short Workshop provides insight into potential pitfalls in collaboration between different locations, multicultural project teams and across national borders.
Depending on the needs of the participants, the following topics, which play a role in the cooperation of multicultural teams, can be highlighted:
- Culture@work – pitfall body language + perceptions
- Orientation frameworks to culture@work
- Head vs. heart – building trustful business relations
- Leadership styles – hierarchy and decision-making
- Communication styles – low and high context cultures
- Pitfall amplifiers on teams and their performance: multicultural – virtual – remote – hybrid
- Strategies for working effectively across borders, cultures and dis-tance
