Angela Kessel has degrees in Japanese and Chinese studies as well as psychology. She studied in Japan, Taiwan and the Netherlands. She has been working as a senior consultant and coach in the intercultural realm since 1995. She has gained professional experience as a coordinator for international relations for the city of Sapporo, as a project manager for Hakuhodo (a Japanese advertising agency), as a sales manager for Nissin Foods (a Japanese manufacturer of food products) as well as in freelance work for other Japanese companies. Project and consulting work for Japanese companies and regular trips to Japan are still the basis for the timeliness and practical relevance of her work today. She is the author of two Japanese language instructional books, “Klett Crashkurs Japanisch für Geschäftsleute,” and “Pons Mini-Sprachkurs Japanisch.” She also regularly publishes professional articles on the subject of working with the Japanese.
