Andrea Mewaldt holds a degree in Social Pedagogy (FH) with a focus on youth and adult education and an MBA in Management and Marketing in Central and Eastern Europe from the Europa Universität Viadrina/Collegium Polonicum. On behalf of the BMFSFJ, she worked from 1992 to 1997 as a consultant for the development of social and educational structures in the Baltic States with residence in Kaunas, Lithuania. After the Balkan wars from 1997 to 2001 she became a temporary advisor for reconstruction projects and civil sector development in Serbia, Bosnia and Herzegovina and Kosovo at the Arbeitsgemeinschaft für Entwicklungshilfe AGEH e.V. Since 2001, Andrea Mewaldt has been the owner and managing director of a consultancy for business development in Eastern, Central and South Eastern Europe. After many years as a board member, she was elected Chair of the Board of Global Partners Bayern e. V. in 2018. This initiates and moderates, face-to-face and digitally supported by an innovative PaaS platform, international project developments of business consortia worldwide in the fields of infrastructure, health, energy and environment. Ms Mewaldt completed the doctoral programme “Global Management and Leadership” at the University of Latvia and successfully passed the final examination in 2013. The dissertation on the internationalisation of vocational education was submitted but not defended. In 2017, she received the final certificate for successful participation in the Executive Online Course: “State Capability. Problem Driven Iterative Adaptation (PDIA)” of the Centre for Development at Harvard University. The holistic PDIA methodology is applicable to all systemic change management processes. Since 2018, Ms Mewaldt has been a certified training partner in accordance to the sustainability reporting standard of the German Sustainability Code. As a lecturer, she is and has been committed to numerous universities, currently at the University of the Federal Armed Forces in Munich.
