For more than 25 years Birgit Mau-Endres has studied and worked in an international context. As a social anthropologist and teacher for German as a foreign language she is used to changing the perspective. As a co-founder of the institute for intercultural understanding VIVe.V. she is involved in the organization of language classes for foreign students and executive managers. Acquiring language skills is not possible without including the culture. Vice versa to get an insight into culture specific behavior the first step is to get an appreciation and a consciousness plus the language to value one’s own and “the other” culture. Birgit Mau-Endres is facilitating this process for participants wanting to live and work in Australia. Her certificate in psychodynamic consultation of teams and organizations (IPOM) allows her to monitor organizational, personal and national cultures.
